After getting the ticket from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), former Mohali Mayor Kulwant Singh, who joined the party recently, convened a meeting of local AAP leaders and workers at his Sector 79 office here today.

Budh Ram, AAP MLA from the Budhlada Assembly constituency, reached the meeting and congratulated Kulwant Singh. He urged the party workers to work hard during the election campaign to ensure its thumping victory.

Addressing the party workers, Kulwant Singh said a huge gathering of supporters in today’s meeting was an indication that a big change was going to take place in the politics of Punjab. Commenting on the victory of AAP candidates in the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation, he said after a landslide victory in the UT, the AAP would now form a government in Punjab and the corrupt rule in Punjab would come to an end.
