AAP’s Prem Garg woos Panchkula voters with promise of honest politics
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Prem Garg met advocates at the bar association office in Panchkula today. Introducing himself as a chartered accountant, Garg positioned himself as a change maker. Confident in his honesty, he said, “People ask me why I’m entering politics, and I reply that one honest person can change the entire scenario.”
Garg highlighted the brain drain, saying youngsters are leaving India through legal and illegal means, and don’t want to return. “India will be considered developed when people from developed countries want to come back,” he added.
Emphasising the need for educated and honest representatives, Garg said, “Our representative should have a vision for the city’s and region’s development, resolving industry issues, basic amenities, and more.”
Promising clean politics, Garg vowed not to speak derogatorily about other candidates. “You’ve seen the other candidates as MLAs; vote for us if you think they haven’t delivered for Panchkula.” AAP leader Surender Rathee joined Garg at the meeting.
