Aayansh fashions Chitkara victory in UT tourney

Aayansh scored 13 points as Chitkara International School, Sector 25, recorded a 44-12 win over Vivek High School, Sector 38, on the third day of the U-14 Basketball Tournament, organised by the UT Sports Department at the Sector 42 Sports Complex. Sidharth gathered six points for the Sector 38 team.

New Public School, Sector 18, posted a 38-24 win over Strawberry Fields High School, Sector 26, as Manas contributed 11 points in the team’s win. Riyansh scored 14 for the Sector 26 side. St Anne’s School, Sector 32, also moved into the next round by posting a 10-6 win over Guru Harkishan School, Sector 38, as Samarbir scored four points for the winning side, and Shivansh adding two for the losing side. In their second league match, St Anne’s team recorded a 17-9 win over St Joseph’s Senior Secondary School, Sector 44. With a 10-point contribution, Samarbir helped the side log win, while Yash added six points in the tally of the Sector 44 team. St Kabir School, Sector 26, posted a 21-18 win over Delhi Public School, Sector 40, as Samarbir scored 12 points. Ranveer posted six points for the Sector 40 team.

In the girls’ U-14 event, Sacred Heart School, Sector 26, continued their winning streak by overpowering Vivek High School with a 26-10 verdict. Naisha gathered nine points for the winning side, while Kashvi scored four for the losing side. New Public School posted a 38-35 victory in a closely contested match against Carmel Convent School, Sector 9. Chandani remained the star of the match as she gathered all points for the winning side, while Aarul scored 19 points. New Public School defeated St Anne’s School 23-16 with Chandani scoring 21 points for the winners, and Mishika posting 12 points for St Anne’s.
