Abhinav, Prabhjot steer Punjab XI to victory

A brisk half-century by Abhinav Sharma and useful contribution from Prabhjot Singh helped PCA Punjab XI register a five-wicket win over Rest of Punjab (Red) in the ongoing Trident PCA Cup 2021 Triangular Challenger Series, today.
Chasing a revised target of 165 in 22 overs, PCA Punjab XI reached home in the final over of the match. Sharma hit a strokeful 56 while Prabhjot made 42 runs. Ramandeep Singh contributed 37 runs with the bat.
Abhishek Bajaj claimed two wickets for Punjab Red, while Deepin Chitkara, Prerit and Ikjot Singh took one wicket each.
Earlier batting first, Punjab Red rode on Vishwa Pratap (87) and Gitansh Khera’s (62) knocks to score 182/3 after the match was reduced to 28 overs a side due to rain.
However, the target was later revised as bad light interrupted the play. Ramandeep, Akul Pandove and Vinay Chaudhary took one wicket apiece for Punjab XI.
