Accused in exam cheating case held in Panchkula

The police have nabbed the main accused in a case of cheating in written examination for the recruitment of assistant line man (ALM). He has been identified as Mahipal, a resident of Maroli village, near Narnaul, in Mahendragarh district.

He was produced before the court on Tuesday which remanded him in judicial custody. The Haryana Staff Selection Commission Board had handed over a person to the police and informed them that his fingerprint bar-2 was not matching. During interrogation, the person said he had asked another person to appear for the written exam on his behalf for the post of ALM held on November 14, 2021, in Ambala, as a result his fingerprints were not matching.
