Chandigarh, January 7
A local court has acquitted a 40-year-old person of the charges of harassing a minor boy.

The police arrested the accused near the forest area of Hallo Majra in 2019. As per the prosecution, people saw the accused taking the 14-year-old boy to the forest area. They caught the accused and handed him over to the police.
The police registered a case against him and filed a challan before the court. Anup Saini, counsel for the accused, argued that he was falsely implicated in the case. The witness in the case also turned hostile.
After hearing the arguments, the court acquitted the accused of the offence punishable under Section 363 of the IPC and Section 11 of the POCSO Act. — TNS
