Chandigarh: Two burglary incidents have been reported from the city. According to the police, Mohammad Nadeem, a resident of Vikas Nagar, Mauli Jagran, reported that Rs50,000, a gold chain, a gold necklace, six pairs of gold tops and a mobile phone were stolen from his house on October 4. In another incident, Kasim Ahmed, a resident of Charan Singh Colony, Mauli Jagran, reported that gold jewellery and a mobile phone were stolen from his house on October 4. The police have registered theft cases at the Mauli Jagran police station. TNS

Workshop on pickleball
Chandigarh: A one-day workshop was organised by the Amateur Pickleball Federation of India (APFI) at the Sports Ground, Panjab University, for the uplift of the sport in the region. As many as 30 players, including office-bearers of the Chandigarh Pickleball Association, participated in the workshop. Samarth Mishra, a member of the APFI’s Pickleball Development Board, apprised the office-bearers and players of the subject of the game, rules, upcoming competitions and other details.
