In the recently concluded first Maharaja Ranjit Singh Athletics Meet at the Sector 7 sports complex, Adesh clocked 10.55 seconds to win the men’s 100m dash. Govind (10.56s) and Rohit (10.56s) claimed second and third position. In the men’s 400m event, Aarush (48.54s) touched the finish line first.

Basant Choudhary clocked 1 minutes and 54 seconds to win the men’s 800m event. In the men’s shot put event, Sawan claimed the top spot with a throw of 18.16m.. Arshdeep SIngh (78.95m) won the men’s javelin throw event, followed by Ankit Malik (68.27m) and Vishavjit Singh (66.91m).

Simran (11.50s) bagged the women’s 100m gold medal and finished ahead of Rishita (11.80s) and Akshi Malik (12.09s). Twinkle clocked 54.99s to win the women’s 400m event, followed by Akshi Malik (55.29s) and Amandeep (55.30s). Twinkle bagged her second gold of the day by winning women’s 800m event in 2.09s.

Yogita (15.30m) claimed shot put gold, while Simranjeet Kaur (33.88m) topped the javelin throw event.
