Association president Rohit Khullar and secretary Parminder Singh said the decision to strike work was taken in a meeting of the executive committee. As per a resolution passed on the occasion, two Bar members Davinder Singh Nigha and Dheeraj Kumar Prashar were allegedly attacked and manhandled by officials of Punjab Vigilance, along with cops of Sirhind police station, at Fatehgarh Sahib . The resolution said the members were threatened to be implicated in a false FIR.

The video of the alleged attack was played at the meeting. The resolution added that it was unanimously decided to abstain from work on February 5 as a mark of protest against the Punjab Police and Vigilance.
