Justice Rajendra Menon, Chairperson, Armed Forces Tribunal, Principal Bench, New Delhi, today launched the official website of the Armed Forces Tribunal’s Regional Bench of Chandigarh. He launched the website in the presence of Justice Shekher Dhawan, Judicial Member and Head of Department, and Justice Sudhir Mitta, among others.
Officials said the website of AFT Chandigarh would act as a repository of all data related to cases instituted, pending, and disposed-of by the Tribunal. They added that people would be able to access case-related information, including the daily cause list, daily orders, and judgements, as well as other information related to the website, such as the latest notifications and vacancies.
An official said, “The launch of the website will lead to better and more efficient administration of the judicial system and will benefit all litigants, lawyers, and other stakeholders who can have access to the status of their cases from anywhere in India.” The official added that since the inception of the Armed Forces Tribunal, Regional Bench, Chandigarh, out of the total 89,000 cases filed so far, over 78,000 cases have already been disposed of.
