A group of 15 students from Army Public School, Phyang, Leh (Ladakh), visited Panjab University as part of a capacity building programme sponsored by the Army under its Operation Sadbhavna initiative.
The initiative comprises an effort on the part of the Army to contribute to the development of the civil population residing in proximity to cantonments and military stations.
The students got an opportunity to visit various facilities on the campus and interact with the Vice Chancellor Renu Vig, who encouraged them to aim higher and excel in academic as well as co-curricular pursuits.
Prof Vig said it was an honour for Panjab University to partner with the Army in this noble venture which promoted national integration in addition to exposing young minds to future possibilities and nurturing their potential. She was happy to share that many students who had visited the university on such trips got admission here for higher education.
