Chandigarh girl Kashvee Gautam gets maiden national call-up for Sri Lanka series

All rounder Kashvee Gautam has been named in the 15-member Indian women’s squad for the upcoming tri-nation series featuring Sri Lanka and South Africa.

The series, set to commence on April 27, will be played in Sri Lanka, with the final scheduled to be played on May 11. Each team will play four games with the top two teams qualifying for the summit clash.

Kashvee’s inclusion comes on the back of her phenomenal performance in the 2025 Women’s Premier League. Representing Gujarat Giants, she claiming 11 wickets in nine matches and finished as the highest Indian wicket-taker of the tournament.

The all-rounder is currently playing the Seniors Women Multi Days at Dehradun and has smashed 194 runs, including an unbeaten century (106*), in three matches. Her consistent pace, control and match-winning spells have caught the attention of selectors, earning her a maiden call-up to the national side. The selection is significant as the Indian team gears up for the ICC Women’s World Cup, set to be held in September-October at home.
