Alto car, auto damaged in Sante Majra wall collapse

Although a major mishap was averted, an Alto car and an auto-rickshaw were badly damaged when a wall fell at Sante Majra Colony under the Kharar municipality during rain on Monday.
Sanjeev Kumar, owner of both the vehicles, said, “We run a dhaba. When it started raining in the afternoon a wall under construction at the house opposite my home suddenly fell down. All family members were not present at our house when the wall collapsed.”
“My Alto car and an auto-rickshaw, which were parked in the street were completely damaged in the wall collapse, he added. However, a major incident was averted as no children or anyone was passing by in the street when the wall fell, he said.
A dog, which was sitting along five to six pups in the street, was buried alive under the debri, he added. People managed to save all pups, he said. The electricity meter was also damaged in the incident, he added. There was no power supply till the evening, he said. “I have informed owner of the house, who is presently in Delhi,” he added.
