Ambala man arrested in arms case

The Ambala police have arrested a man under the Arms Act and recovered 45 live cartridges of .32 bore pistol from his possession on Wednesday.
The suspect has been identified as Dharmender Sharma, a resident of Ambala Cantonment.
The police had arrested Aman Kumar, alias Gappu, a resident of Ambala Cantonment, in connection with a case of attempt to murder. During his remand, he disclosed that he used to bring illegal arms from Uttar Pradesh and sold these in Ambala. He further revealed that he had given one such pistol and a large number of live cartridges of .32 bore to Dharmender Sharma, a resident of Ambala Cantonment.
Satish Kumar, SHO, Mahesh Nagar police station, said, “Acting on information from the CIA-2, we arrested Dharmender and recovered 45 live cartridges of .32 bore pistol. The pistol is yet to be recovered. We will produce him before a court tomorrow and seek his remand.”
