Amrinder wins golf tournament
Amrinder Singh won the 10-15 handicap category with a score of 78 during the 9th Amateur Golfers Society Golf Tournament held at the Panchkula Golf Club. Dr RK Talwar, with a score of 76, won the 16 and above handicap category.
In the 10-15 handicap category, Brig Manoj Raj secured the runner-up spot with a score of 80, followed by Parveen Virdi as the second runner-up with a score of 86. In the 16 and above handicap category, Col NK Mehta claimed the runner-up position with a score of 77, while AK Jindal completed the podium as second runner-up with a score of 78. The tournament also featured individual skill challenges. Amrinder Singh won the longest drive with a 270-yard shot. SS Prasad claimed the straightest drive title, while Col Mehta secured the highest birdies title by carding six birdies.
The event was organised by the Amateur Golfers Society, a non-governmental organisation committed to promoting golf in the region. The tournament brought together 72 golfers, competing across two handicap categories: 10-15 and 16 & above.
