Chandigarh, September 1

Local weightlifter Ananya continued her impressive run by winning a gold and a silver medal in the youth and junior categories, respectively, during the Chandigarh State Weightlifting Championship at the Sector 42 Sports Complex.

She lifted a total of 162 kg (snatch 75kg and clean and jerk 87kg). Ananya also clinched the gold medal at the recent interschool weightlifting championship organised at International Public School, Kurali. She lifted a total of 110 kg.
