Annual convocation held at ITI for Women in Kalka
The annual convocation at the institute of ITI for Women located at Bitna, Kalka was organised today. Rishav Sharma, chairman of Industrial Management Committee, was the chief guest and the programme was presided over by ITI principal Rajbala Verma.
Addressing the girl students, the chairman said that at present there was a great demand for skilled artisans in industries of various sectors. He said the ITI was playing an important and praiseworthy role in preparing skilled artisans.
While motivating the girl students to become self-reliant in the society with their skills, he said that at present women empowerment was included in the main schemes of the government. Many beneficial schemes were being run by the Haryana Government to make girls self-reliant, which every girl student should know about. He assured the girl students of as much support as possible in their favorite field of work and wished them success.
Principal Verma also gave information about the courses and development activities going on in the ITI. Colourful cultural programmes were also presented by the girl students at the ceremony. The chief guest also distributed prizes to the winners. On this occasion, the chairman also announced cash prizes to encourage students.
