Anup sets Guinness record

Anup Debnath, a 51-year-old India-origin resident of New Jersey, who was living in Chandigarh till 2018, has set a Guinness World Record to be the oldest person to perform 20 continuous back handsprings, covering a staggering distance of over 46. 63m.

A gymnast, Debnath moved to Haryana in 1986 and took admission in MNSS Rai School and later shifted to Chandigarh for his graduation from DAV College. He took admission in the Law Department of Panjab University and remained Chandigarh state champion multiple times, along with being a trampoline and tumbling national champion.

After residing in Chandigarh for 27 years, he moved to the USA seven years ago. Debnath emphasised the importance of living a healthy life
