On the second day of the ongoing 123rd Indian Golf Union (IGU) Amateur Golf Championship, Arin Ahuja jumped to lead with a total score of 144 after trailing in Round 1 at tied second at the Chandigarh Golf Club. He is closely followed by Chandigarh’s Jaibir Singh Kang at second position and Jujhar Singh (145) at third.

Meanwhile, 16-year-old golfer Krish Chawla also made the cut and become the only junior (not amateur) golfer from Chandigarh to secure a spot in the final 32 players in a competitive field of 123 participants. As many as seven players from Chandigarh qualified for the final round.

In an interesting moment, the 31st and 32nd spot was decided by a five-way playoff. The playoff started from hole No. 1 and continued for two more before Arjun Singh Bhatia and Vibhu Tyagi emerged as winners and cleared the cut. A total of 10 players were tied for the 32nd spot after Round 1.
