Army holds vaccination drive in Jagatpura

Chandigarh, June 11

Headquarters Western Command, in collaboration with the Avtar Education Trust and the civil administration organised a Covid vaccination camp under ‘Operation Namaste’ at The Fort in Jagatpura near here today.

Col Jasdeep Sandhu, Director, Civil Military Affairs, said the Western Command would support the civil administration in vaccination drives, wherever required, by providing logistical support like doctors, para-medical staff and ambulances, especially in difficult areas and motivate people to get themselves vaccinated.

Military vehicles were also sent to transport villagers from far-off villages to the vaccination site today.

Punjab Health and Family Welfare Minister Balbir Singh Sidhu visited the vaccination camp and appreciated the initiative. — TNS
