Arnav, Kashika pocket carrom sub-junior titles

Arnav Bahuguna and Kashika Verma claimed sub-junior titles on the concluding day of the 33rd Chandigarh State Carrom Tournament at St Stephen’s School, Sector 45.

In the boys’ sub-junior final, Arnav defeated Anish Kumar 20-4 10-0 to win the event.

In the girls’ sub-junior final, Kashika defeated Khushi Aggarwal 14-9 12-0. Shoyab won the boys’ junior final by defeating Abhinav Sharma 13-10 4-9 13-9, whereas Vaidhavi Mamgain won the girls’ junior final by defeating Ayesha 21-3 18-6. In semis, Vaidhavi defeated Shayna Parveen 21-1 21-0 and Ayesha ousted Aashia 20-2 21-0.

Gagandeep Singh recorded a 25-0 25-11 win over Himanshu Shekhar to bag the men’s title. In the women’s singles, Nidhi Gupta faced some resistance from Tuba Sehar before logging a 25-12 13-17 17-10 win.
