Assembly poll: 455 stations set up at 265 sites in Panchkula district

The district administration has established 455 polling stations at 265 sites across the district for Assembly elections. Dr Yash Garg, Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer today said these included 225 stations in the Kalka Assembly constituency and 230 polling stations in the Panchkula Assembly constituency. He said there were 95 urban and 130 rural polling stations in the Kalka Assembly constituency, while 199 polling stations in urban and 31 in rural areas in the Panchkula Assembly constituency. Each of the polling stations is designed to handle fewer than 1,500 voters.
The administration has also established Adarsh, Sakhi, Divyang and Yuva booths. In Kalka , Adarsh polling booths are located at booths 133 and 134 in Amravati High School; Sakhi booths are at 50 and 51 in Government Senior Secondary School, Kalka; Divyang booths at 86 in Government Senior Secondary School, Pinjore; and Yuva are at booths 57 and 58 at Government College, Kalka. In Panchkula booths 69 and 70 at Government Senior Secondary School, Sector 26, are Adarsh booths; 114 and 115 in Government Senior Secondary School, Sector 12A, are Sakhi booths; booth 80 at Government Senior Secondary School, Sector 6, is a Divyang booth; and booths 85 and 86 in DC Model School, Sector 7, are Yuva booths.
