Auto driver killed in Mohali mishap

The victim was returning from the sabzi mandi when an SUV coming from Diplast Chowk hit his auto

A 55-year-old auto-rickshaw driver died after his vehicle was hit by an SUV near the Phase 4 temple last evening.

The victim, Zeenas Rai, a resident of Sector 56, was returning from the sabzi mandi when an SUV coming from Diplast Chowk hit his auto. The collision was so intense that the airbags of the SUV were deployed. Zeenas was rushed to a hospital where he died. The SUV driver also sustained minor injuries. The police are investigating the matter.
