Award for RBU Vice-Chancellor

Dr Parvinder Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Rayat Bahra University, has been given the Innovative Professor of the Year Award at the Global Teaching Excellence Awards (GTEA) 2020.

Vishal Gupta, Adviser to Ministry of Human Resource Development, presented the award to him. He was nominated for the award for his achievements as controller of examinations of PU, an assignment that he had held before joining Rayat Bahra University as VC. His achievements included online examinations due to Covid-19, Unique Identity Card for teachers performing exam duties, introduction of online verification of credentials for overseas admission or PR and introduction of online re-evaluation process. — TNS
