The district administration has imposed Section 144 in the areas surrounding the District Court Complex, banning gathering of five or more persons.

A special CBI court is expected to pronounce the quantum of sentence against Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim and four other convicts in the murder case of a dera follower.

Carrying of any weapon like sword, lathi, stick, iron rod, etc, except for sheathed kirpans, has also been prohibited.

The dera chief will be produced in the court tomorrow via videoconferencing while the four other convicts will be brought in person for the sentencing.
