Ayurveda Mahotsav highlights blend of traditional, modern medicine

The Ayurveda Mahotsav-2025, being held at the Indradhanush Auditorium in Sector 5, Panchkula, continued to attract large crowds on its second day. Visitors thronged the venue to gain information about Ayurveda and purchase a wide range of medicines and wellness products showcased at exhibition stalls. The strong turnout reflected growing public awareness and trust in traditional systems of medicine.

Former Haryana Vidhan Sabha speaker Gian Chand Gupta attended the event as the chief guest on Saturday. Acharya Manish was present as the guest of honour.

Addressing the gathering, Gupta said Ayurveda was not merely a system of medicine but a philosophy of life that teaches harmony between the mind, body and soul. He said it embodies a deep understanding of nature, health and human welfare, with a strong emphasis on prevention, personalised care and sustainable living. Highlighting the significance of the festival, Gupta said the wide participation of scholars, acharyas and experts ensured that classical texts and traditional knowledge were interpreted and applied with scientific precision, thereby building a bridge between ancient wisdom and modern science. Acharya Manish visited various stalls at the exhibition and interacted with representatives of Ayurvedic medicine manufacturers, seeking detailed information on the benefits, usage and precautions of their products. He also addressed a special session, stating that amid changing lifestyles and rising health disorders, Ayurveda was emerging as one of the most reliable and effective systems of treatment.

Event organiser Rishabh Dixit said the Mahotsav would prove to be a significant milestone in the field of holistic healthcare. Over 4,000 doctors, Ayurvedic practitioners and more than 100 medicine manufacturers are participating in the exhibition.
