Ban public enquiry, PU authorities told
Chandigarh, March 15
The Panjab University’s Non-Teaching Employees’ Federation today sent a representation to the Registrar of Panjab University (PU), demanding a ban on public enquiry. Federation’s president Deepak Kaushik stated: “The university authority has issued an advisory on Covid-19 and has cancelled all meetings and seminars etc. But the inflow of public enquiry has not been banned. In the absence of such orders, the employees will have to entertain the public enquiry.”
He also added that all university employees had not been issued hand sanitisers, masks or dampers to adopt preventive measures and requested the authorities to save the employees from the deadly virus by assuring hygienic conditions at the varsity. — TNS
