Bangladesh Air Force beat Chandigarh XI

Bangladesh Air Force came from two goals down to defeat Chandigarh XI 3-2 at the ongoing 4th Marshal of the Air Force Arjan Singh Memorial Hockey Tournament being played at Raghbir Singh Bhola Hockey Stadium, 3 BRD Air Force Station.
High on their performance, after defeating Indian Air Force on the opening day, the Chandigarh lads started the match confidently. Taranjit Singh put the side ahead in the 34th minute, while Mohit doubled the lead in the 45th minute.
As the local side was looking confident to carry their form, Bangladesh Air Force lads changed their strategy and started playing an attacking game. The side revived immediate result as Sajid Hussain reduced the margin to 2-1 in the 47th minute, while Shohanur Sobua levelled the score in the 52nd minute.
Within five minutes of levelling the scores, Bangladesh Air Force scored the winning goal through Raju Ahmed. Thereafter, the side maintained their lead, till the final whistle of the match.
In another match, Yograj Singh scored a hat-trick to help Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) register a 4-3 win over Railway Coach Factory (RCF), Kapurthala. Yograj scored his first goal in the 7th minute, followed by two more goals in the 36th minute and 52nd minute. Earlier, Karanpal Singh had put the Kapurthala outfit in lead in the 3rd minute. He netted his second in the 26th minute, while Gauravjit Singh pulled off the third for the side in the 48th minute.
Indian Railways logged 3-1 victory over Punjab Police. Atuldeep put the ball past goal line in the 1st minute, while Pratap Lakra doubled the Railways’ lead in the 36th minute. Aiyappa PR netted the third for the side in the 44th minute. Shamsheer Singh scored a lone consoling goal for the Punjab Police in the 47th minute.
Indian Oil won their match against Punjab and Sind Bank by a margin of two goals (4-2). Gurjinder Singh scored for the Indian Oil in the 13th minute, while Sumit Kumar extended the lead to 2-0 in the 20th minute. The bank team put the scores on a par as Harmanjit Singh (46th minute) and Jaskaran Singh (48th minute) scored a goal apiece. However, Arshdeep Singh sounded the wooden plank twice (52nd minute and 59th minute) to help the side log win.
