Baseball: Mission Club triumph

Chandigarh, June 25

The Mission Club Chandigarh went down 1-2 against the Royals Club, New Delhi, in the ongoing 1st Baseball National Open Club League, at the Panjab University grounds here today.

The Yuva Club, Hisar, overpowered the Dream Academy 4-2, while the Faridabad Club defeated the Doon Striker Club 4-1. The Bilaspur Club won their second consecutive match by defeating the Yuva Club, Hisar, 6-2 and the BSA Delhi played a 5-5 draw against the Dream Academy. In their second match of the day, the Faridabad Club defeated the Royals Club 4-1 and the BSA Delhi went down 5-4 against the Bilaspur Club in a close contest.

Rooplal elected vice-prez of softball association

During the 53rd special general body meeting of the Softball Association of India at Indore, Rooplal Sharma, secretary, Chandigarh Softball Association, was elected the vice-president of the Softball Association of India.
