The Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB), Chandigarh, has been conferred the Central Board of Irrigation and Power's (CBIP) award for the best maintained project for running its iconic Bhakra Nangal Project for over 50 years.

This award was presented to the Bhakra Dam Chief Engineer by Raj Bhushan Chaudhary, Minister of State for Jal Shakti, at the CBIP Day Celebrations and Award Ceremony, held in New Delhi today. The CBIP confers these awards to promote excellence across the water, power and renewable energy sectors and to acknowledge the contributions of organisations, stakeholders and professionals in these fields.
