Mohali, September 9
The District Health Department has advised residents of Mohali district to take precautionary measures to protect themselves from dengue and water-borne diseases these days.
Issuing an advisory, Civil Surgeon Dr Adarshpal Kaur and District Epidemiologists Dr Vikrant Nagra and Dr Harmandeep Kaur, in a joint statement, urged people of the district to be more cautious and vigilant to prevent dengue and water-borne diseases.
The health officials said residents need to be more vigilant and cautious these days as there was a fear of aedes aegypti mosquito breeding till the end of November. They also warned people against water-related diseases such as diarrhoea, cholera, typhoid and hepatitis A and E during the rainy season. — TNS
