Pharmacy college granted autonomy

Ropar: The University Grants Commission has granted the autonomous status to Amar Shaheed Baba Ajit Singh Jujhar Singh Memorial College of Pharmacy. According to the college director, Dr Shaileh Sharma, Inder Kumar Gujral Punjab Technical University gave conferment of status to the college situated at nearby Bela village. Claiming that such status has been conferred to only seven pharmacy colleges in the country, Dr Sharma said the college had been declared an autonomous body for 10 years.
