Chandigarh, August 27
Over reports of duping innocent residents on the false claim of allotment of Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) flats, the Board has clarified that the process of allotment of dwelling units is transparent and there is no role of any private persons/middlemen.
Yashpal Garg, Chief Executive Officer, CHB, said all residents were requested not to believe any false promise of getting CHB flats allotted by other means.
“There is no role of any private persons in the process of allotment of dwelling units by the CHB. The allotment process is transparent, fair and there are no possibilities of any sort of favouritism/partiality,” he said.
He said for the allotment of flats under the general housing schemes, small flats scheme, e-auction and oustee scheme, public notices were issued about the launch, or schedule of the scheme and thereafter the allotment was done through a computerised draw. The result of the draw was immediately uploaded on the CHB website.
