Biker dies in road mishap in Chandigarh
Chandigarh, September 2
A motorcyclist died after he was allegedly hit by a truck near Daria on Tuesday night. The motorcycle further hit another motorcyclist, leaving the rider injured.
The victim has been identified as Abhay Pratap (25), a resident of Dhanas.
Complainant Pardeep reported that a recklessly-driven truck hit the motorcycle being driven by the victim. The victim’s motorcycle hit his bike, following which both of them fell on the road.
The police were informed and both victims were taken to the GMCH, Sector 32, where Abhay succumbed to the injuries.
The police said the truck driver had been identified as Mohinder and a case registered. —TNS
