Biker killed in hit-and-run
In a case of hit-and-run, a motorcyclist was killed after being run over by a pick-up jeep at the Hallo Majra light point.
The complainant, Mohit Verma, told the police that the pick-up jeep sped away after the hitting the bike, being driven by the victim, who has been identified as Pawan Kumar, a Baltana resident, at the Hallo Majra light point.
The victim was rushed to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, where he later succumbed to the injuries sustained during the accident.
The police, meanwhile, have registered a case at the Mauli Jagran police station and have initiated an investigation into the matter.
