Dera Bassi: A 57-year-old biker died after being hit by an unidentified vehicle on the Dera Bassi-Barwala road here on Friday. Complainant Munish, son of the deceased and a resident of Saidpura, said his father was coming home from work when he was hit. He died during treatment at the Dera Bassi subdivisional hospital. A case has been registered.

Up native run over

Mohali: The police have arrested Harish for running over a UP native, Akhilesh (30) in Sainimajra village following a property-related dispute on Friday night. The police said the victim was taken to a hospital and one of his legs had to be amputated.
