Bishnoi’s aide caught by public

Chandigarh, January 18

Nayagaon resident Gagandeep Singh, alias Gagan (28), an associate of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, has been arrested with a revolver.

The complainant, Ajit Inder Singh (25), a resident of Sector 38 (West), had complained that the accused threatened and pointed revolver at him at the Sector 36 market. He was nabbed by people and handed over to the police.

Investigation into the case has revealed that it is a licensed revolver that belongs to someone else.

Sources said Gagandeep has several criminal cases registered against him and was released from jail around three months ago.

Gagandeep was also named in the murder case of Amit Sharma, alias Meet, who was shot dead at Saketri in Panchkula in 2017. It was alleged that Gagandeep orchestrated the crime from the jail.
