BJP celebrates Bihar Diwas

Delhi Cabinet Minister Kapil Mishra has stated that Bihar has given the country great personalities like Guru Gobind Singh, Chanakya, and Aryabhatta, whose contributions were unforgettable. “This state has always guided the entire nation, and its role will remain crucial in the future,” he said while speaking at a function to mark Bihar Diwas, which was organised by the city BJP unit here today. The programme was also attended by Bihar MLC Pramod Kumar, while BJP Chandigarh president Jitendra Pal Malhotra presided over the event.

In his address, Malhotra said, “Bihar is not just a state, but the soul of Indian civilization and culture. Its heritage and traditions inspire the entire nation. The BJP has always been committed to the development and progress of Bihar. The people of Bihar are hardworking and self-reliant, and they have made their mark in every field.”

Addressing the gathering, Kumar said, “Bihar has been a centre of education, culture and leadership. The people of Bihar have made a name for themselves across the country through their talent and hard work.”

The event was coordinated by Shashi Shankar Tiwari along with Ruby Gupta and Abhay Jha. Several dignitaries from Bihar also attended the event. Cultural performances showcasing Bihar’s rich traditions, music and folk heritage were presented during the event, creating an atmosphere filled with the essence of Bihar. Many senior party leaders, workers and dignitaries associated with Bihar were also present.

Meanwhile, Bihar Foundation Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Punjab Raj Bhavan, where Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria presided over the event. The celebration held under the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’, showcased Bihar’s rich cultural heritage through an array of captivating performances. Traditional folk dances, soulful musical presentations and cultural programmes were presented by the Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademi, highlighting the vibrant and diverse traditions of the state, leaving the audience spellbound.
