Concerns ranging from the city’s security arrangements to necessary modifications in housing board houses and conversion of leasehold properties to freehold were presented before the Administrator.
The BJP delegation also demanded improvements in public transport system.
Malhotra was accompanied by Chandigarh BJP incharge and Ghaziabad MP Atul Garg and state general secretary (organisation) Manthri Shrinivasulu.
Key discussion points included issues like drinking water scarcity, the quality of government education and pressing matters related to the Chandigarh Housing Board.
The delegation specifically highlighted the difficulties faced by housing board residents—such as repair issues, ownership rights, rising fees and administrative complexities. The Administrator attentively listened to the concerns raised by the BJP representatives and assured prompt administrative action on all these matters.
