The Chandigarh BJP unit today observed Constitution Day at the party office, Kamalam, in Sector 33. The programme was attended by party workers and leaders and tributes were paid to BR Ambedkar.

Party president Jatinder Pal Malhotra, while addressing the gathering, highlighted the contribution of Ambedkar to the Constitution and Indian democracy. He underlined the importance of the principles of equality, justice and fraternity enshrined in the Constitution.

The party president said, “The Constitution Day celebrations organised by the Chandigarh BJP reminded us of the importance of upholding the principles of democracy, equality and justice. The event reiterates the party’s commitment to protect and promote the values of the Constitution that Ambedkar envisioned.

Manish Bansal, former state president, Sanjay Tandon, state vice-president, Poonam Sharma, Shakti Prakash Devshali, secretary Shashi Shankar Tiwari, Ruchi Sekhri, SC Morcha president Amit Kherwal were also present on the occasion.
