Boating off to a slow start at Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, June 23

Boating got off to a slow start on the first day at Sukhna Lake. With a decline in the number of Covid-19 cases, the UT Administration yesterday allowed boating at the lake with 50 per cent capacity.

On the first day, nearly 50 persons turned up for boating. An official said only four-seater boats were allowed to operate. The lake was closed for visitors when Covid cases started increasing.

A tourism official said all employees at the lake were fully vaccinated. — TNS
