People with kidney failure can now book a slot for maintenance dialysis in various UT hospitals.
During a review meeting on the Covid-19 pandemic, UT Administrator VP Singh Badnore said the system of dialysis for outdoor Covid patients had been streamlined. Chandigarh residents could call at 70870-07434 and book a slot for maintenance dialysis, he said and added that the patients could be picked and dropped in ambulances. The Administrator expressed his satisfaction about the declining number of positive cases. He said the PGI had been selected for the trial of Covid vaccine and wished the doctors all success in their efforts. He said since the
PGI was seeking volunteers for the trial of the vaccine, eligible residents might register their names on the institute’s website.
He directed DGP Sanjay Beniwal to ensure that there was no spread of Covid due to large gatherings at political demonstrations being held against the new farm laws. DC Mandip Singh Brar said over 18,000 challans had been issued for various violations such as non-wearing of mask and social distancing. — TNS
