A book on research in legal education titled “Legal Research Methodology”, co-authored by Shipra Gupta and Neelam Batra, was today unveiled at the Golden Jubilee Hall, Panjab University.

The event was attended by Justice Augustine George Masih, Judge of the Supreme Court, as chief guest, with Virendra Kumar, founding Director (Academics) of the Chandigarh Judicial Academy, serving as guest of honour.

Justice Masih commended the authors for producing a clear, comprehensive guide and stressed the importance of analytical, evidence-based research in legal education.

Kumar, meanwhile, emphasised on the book’s practical relevance and academic value, while Samrita Kaur Gill, IRS, also spoke on its positive contribution to legal research and education.

The book combines theory with hands-on instruction, addressing key steps like goals, data gathering, analysis, and report writing—ideal for students, researchers, and emerging scholars seeking to enhance their research abilities.

Members of the judiciary and academia, including judges of the Punjab and Haryana High Court, academic experts, medical professionals, legal practitioners, and faculty and students from the Panjab University, also attended the event.
