The UT Education Department will start online admission process for admission to the entry level classes in government/government-aided schools from January 10. As per the schedule, the forms will be available at www.chdeducation.gov.in from January 10.

The last date for filling the forms will be February 10. The eligibility criteria will be available on the department’s website.

UT declared ‘no flying zone’

Ahead of the Republic Day celebrations, Chandigarh has been declared a no-flying zone from January 17 to 26.

District Magistrate Nishant Kumar Yadav has issued an order declaring the entire Union Territory of Chandigarh as a ‘no flying zone’ for drones and UAVs from January 17 to 26. This decision has been made in light of the Republic Day celebrations at Parade Ground, Sector-17, which will also be attended by VVIPs.

Senior citizens get-together

The monthly get-together of the Chandigarh Senior Citizens' Association ‘Chapter Moonlight’ was held at Community Centre, Sector 50, which was attended by over 200 senior citizens from Sectors 46 to 51. The January 2025 issue of 'e- Moonlight Newsletter' was released on the occasion.
