CGC to hold Challenge Boot Camp
Mohali: Chandigarh College of Engineering (COE), Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Landran, has been chosen as one of the 10 institutes from across India to host the Solutions Challenge Boot Camp being organised by Google Developer Group (GDG) and Hack2Skill. Set to be organised on March 24 at CGC, Landran, this event will bring together student developers, industry experts and tech enthusiasts under one roof giving them an opportunity to learn, interact and network. This boot camp will give budding student developers an opportunity to receive hands-on training through workshops on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Android and Gemini AI.
Conference on advanced materials
Mohali: A two-day national conference, jointly organised by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Aryans College of Engineering on "Advance materials, rare earth and critical minerals" was conducted in Urdu and English languages under AICTE-VAANI (Vibrant advocacy for advancement and nurturing of Indian languages) scheme. Twelve seminars were conducted and concluded on the same day. Dr JK Saini, Director, Aryans College of Engineering, addressed participants on the importance of the conference. At least 80 participants from various educational institutes attended the conference.
Meeting dwells on tech education
Mohali: A meeting of the Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) held under the leadership of Dr Anshu Kataria, President, PUCA, Punjab Unaided Technical Institute Association (PUTIA), and Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges. Satnam Singh Sandhu, Member of Rajya Sabha, was the special guest during the ninth foundation day celebrations of PUCA. The theme for the day was "Making Punjab the destination for technical education". On the occasion, at least 400 educationists from various technical colleges assured that they would remain committed to delivering high-quality education, coupled with excellent internship and placement opportunities.
Students excel in oral pathology
Mohali: Sri Sukhmani Dental College and Hospital, Dera Bassi, recognised academic achievements of nine distinction holders in the subject of oral pathology. Under the guidance of Dr Nupur Hingad, Head of the Department, students - Aaryan Khurana, Bhumi Bharadwaj, Chestha, Diksha, Dhwani Vijra, Khushi Katyal, Kompal Slathiya, Shivika and Vani - demonstrated exceptional dedication and proficiency in their field.
