Chandigarh: Gurukul Global School, in collaboration with Rotary Club, Chandigarh Midtown, organised the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) 2024. The event brought together Interact Club members from schools across the tricity to foster leadership, teamwork and community service. A vibrant cultural performance by students of Kundan International School captivated the audience. Later, students from the Government Model High School, Sector 13, Mani Majra, and Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 35, presented a series of energetic and engaging performances.
KB DAV Sen Sec Public School
Chandigarh: Seven-day NSS special camp at KB DAV Senior Secondary Public School, Sector 7-B, concluded with a valedictory ceremony. Dr Nemi Chand, State Liaison Officer, NSS Cell, Chandigarh, graced the event as the chief guest. The programme began with the NSS song, enthusiastically presented by volunteers, setting the tone for the day. A PowerPoint presentation provided a glimpse into events held during the camp. A video of the Nukkad Natak enacted during the camp by volunteers drew applause from the audience.
CL Aggarwal DAV Model School
Chandigarh: An annual sports meet was held at CL Aggarwal DAV Model School. The event was inaugurated by RC Jeevan, former principal, DAV College. The day commenced with a welcome dance, reflecting vibrant culture and spirit of the school, followed by competitive races that showcased athletic prowess of students. Adding to the energy were captivating performances, including dumbbell drill, PT drill and aerobics self-defence performance.
Blue Bird High School
Panchkula: Blue Bird High School, Sector 16, organised an insightful career counselling session for students of Classes IX to XII and their parents. The session was held by Mr Ankur Grover who shared his expertise to equip students with vital information to help them plan their future.
RBU to introduce new courses
Mohali: After introducing a number of "new-age courses" in collaboration with top multinational companies to increase the employment potential of students, Rayat Bahra University (RBU) is planning to introduce more job-oriented courses. Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra said courses would be designed to equip students with practical skills and enhance employability.
