Ruparna Chakravarty claimed the top prize, Ananya Abrol and Sadeeti bagged the second position jointly, while Punit Raj and Smile Tandon claimed the third spot at the ‘Inter-College Literary Fest’, organised by the college’s PG Department of English. Anushka won the first prize, Shweta and Deepak bagged the second position, while Livjot Kaur claimed the third spot in the poetry recitation competition. Dipasha Pal, Simranjit Kaur and Ayushi Anand claimed the first three position, respectively, in the essay writing competition and Sanjivanie Bhalla won the short film review event, followed by Anmoldeep Kaur at second place and Rashi Joshi at third. Jashandeep Kaur, Bhumika and Pia (joint second) and Pragya Verma won medals in the poetry writing and Kaniska, Kriti Sharma and Sanvi excelled in the debate event.

Dev Samaj College, Chandigarh

An art exhibition ‘’Hastshilp’ was organised at the college along with an awareness programme on eye donation. The students showcased their talents in, lippan art, mixed media art, decoupage, shibori, pot and stone painting which was appreciated by the faculty members. Many competitions, centred on the theme of eye donation were also organised.

Chitkara University, Mohali

The university announced partnership with HDFC Bank to bridge the gap between academia and industry, providing students with the vital skills and knowledge to excel in the dynamic, global marketplace. The partnership was officially launched at a special event organised by the Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Development (CEED) at the university. The collaboration aims to deepen industry-academia engagement by enhancing interaction and collaboration between students and industry professionals.

Govt College of Edu, Chandigarh

The college secured an A+ grade in Cycle-3 Accreditation of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) after securing A grade in last two cycles. This achievement places the college among an elite group of institutions dedicated to setting high standards in teacher education. Principal Sapna Nanda expressed her pride and gratitude for the recognition.

Sri Sukhmani College of Law, Mohali

The group of institutions celebrated Teacher’s Day with enthusiasm and fervour on campus. Special awards were presented to outstanding educators for their contributions. Professor Rajni, Professor Komal, Professor Amritpal, Professor Bhanu, Dr Daljeet, Dr Venus and Professor Megha were honoured.

Chandigarh University, Mohali

The university organised a blood donation camp under the leadership of Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Chancellor Satnam Singh Sandhu. A number of students and faculty members participated in the camp. Emphasising the importance of blood donation during Professor RS Bawa, advisor to the Chancellor said blood donation was one of the best donations, through which one could help the needy and save lives.

CGC, Jhanjeri

The group of colleges welcomed its new batch of students with ‘Parichay 2024’, the freshers’ party. The event showcased a blend of tradition and modernity, with breath-taking performances that left the audience spellbound. The evening commenced with the rhythmic beats of Bhangra, where the dancers’’ exuberant moves brought the essence of Punjab alive. This was followed by a captivating western dance performance by ‘Maulers’.

PMLSD Business School, Chandigarh

The institution celebrated the achievements of its latest cohort of management graduates, third batch, PGDM (2022-24) during a convocation ceremony. Director Ajay Sharma applauded the young graduates for their perseverance and dedication. PG diplomas were conferred upon the graduates. Special awards were presented to top performers in various specialisations, acknowledging their outstanding achievements.

Aryans Group of Colleges, Mohali

A voluntary blood donation camp was organised by the group. Dr Harjinder Singh Bedi (IAS), Additional Deputy Commissioner, Patiala, inaugurated the camp and Dr Jatinder Kansal, Civil Surgeon, Patiala, was the guests of honour at the event. A free health checkup camp was also organised during the event.
