Campus notes: St Joan’s Public School

Mohali: St Joan’s Public School, Zirakpur, hosted its much-anticipated Junior Wing Annual Function. The event was themed under “Dream, Rise & Shine” showcasing talent, creativity and dedication as the young students mesmerised the audience with their performances.

Shishu Niketan

Mohali: Shishu Niketan School, Sector 66, organised annual function wherein students took part in cultural dance and play. Director Roopak Chadha and chief guest Dr Kirandeep Kaur appreciated the efforts of teachers and the students.

Manav Mangal

Mohali: A spring walk was organised at Manav Mangal Smart World for students of nursery and Class I students. Parents, along with their child, walked the ramp set up with peacock theme. Winners were awarded in five categories- Walking tall (Best ramp Walk), Dressed to Impress (Ethnic), Dressed to Impress (Western), Teamed up (coordinated dress parent and child) and Grace.

Shishu Niketan-22

Chandigarh: Shishu Niketan Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 22, organised Nursery Cricket League 2025, a fun-filled event designed to introduce young learners to the spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork. The young cricketers, dressed in colourful jerseys, displayed incredible enthusiasm as they batted, bowled and fielded with energy. Principal Harleen Bajwa applauded the initiative.

AKSIPS- 45, Smart School

Chandigarh: The kindergarten students of AKSIPS, Sector 45, visited Rajpura. The students participated in a range of thrilling activities, including rock climbing, obstacle courses and zip lining. The event aimed to promote teamwork, leadership and problem-solving skills among the students.

St Soldier’s School

Panchkula: The junior wing of St Soldier’s School, Sector 16, celebrated its annual sports day, coinciding with the much-anticipated Founder’s Day. The event was organised for the students of Grade 1 to 5 and presented a vibrant display of energy, teamwork and sportsmanship. Young athletes participated in a range of races designed to challenge their skills and encourage a spirit of healthy competition.

Shemrock School

Mohali: Shemrock Senior Secondary School, Sector 69, observed junior level annual sports day during the founder’s week celebrations. Chairman AS Bajwa was the chief guest. The first day witnessed several athletic events, including long jump and shot put.

Ashiana Public School

Chandigarh: Annual Fiesta - ‘Expressions’ was held for the students of pre-primary wing (Pre-Nursery to KG) at Ashiana Public School, Sector 46. The audience were left mesmerised with the captivating display of story narration, singing and dance performances. Students narrated stories like the monkey and the cap seller, the swans and tortoise, the lion and the mouse, the fox and the stork.

Sacred Heart School

Chandigarh: Students of Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Sector 26, showcased their creativity and intellect at Science, Robotics and Yuva Tourism Club exhibition. The event provided an immersive learning experience, combining scientific inquiry, technological advancements and cultural awareness.

Gurukul Global School

Chandigarh: Students of Gurukul Global School, Sector 13, won a total of 17 prizes, including nine first prizes and eight second prizes, across various flowers’ categories including, antirrhinum, cineraria, sweet peas, petunia, salvia, succulents, stock flower, geranium, phlox and carnation. School Director Devraj Setya congratulated the winners.

Sri Guru Gobind Singh College

Chandigarh: Sri Guru Gobind Singh College, Sector 26, marked the National Mathematics Day by organising a one-day workshop on Popularisation of Mathematics. The event was sponsored by the Department of Science & Technology and Renewable Energy, Chandigarh Administration. Prof Dinesh Khurana of Panjab University delivered a lecture on the significance of polynomial equations and their deep-rooted connections with group theory, particularly the concept of solvability.

Post Graduate Government College

Chandigarh: The physics department of Post Graduate Government College, Sector 11, organised an Inter College Physics Quiz contest and Just -A- Minute contest. The team of GGDSD, Sector 32, the hosts and PGGCG, Sector 42, claimed top three positions, respectively. Harmanjot Kaur won the first position in the individual event, followed by Tanya Chauhan and Kamaldeep Singh.

Desh Bhagat University

Chandigarh: Desh Bhagat University organised an event titled ‘Legal Aid Awareness Camp on Fundamental Rights and Duties of Citizens under the Constitution of India’. The event was a collaborative effort between the ADR Centre, Legal Aid Cell, Pro Bono Legal Service Club, University School of Law, and the Women Grievance Redressal Cell. The camp aimed to educate participants about their fundamental rights and duties.
