Canada-based journalist Gurpiar Singh abducted in Mohali, police launches manhunt for kidnappers

The Punjab Police have launched an intensive manhunt to track down the culprits behind the kidnapping of Gurpiar Singh, a Canada-based journalist and anchor of Hamdard TV. Acting on the directives of DGP Gaurav Yadav and SSP Mohali, multiple police teams have been mobilised to investigate the case. The police are closely examining CCTV footage from the area to piece together the sequence of events.
One of the two Nihang suspects has been identified as Gurdeep Singh, who is reportedly linked to Sikh Bandi Chudao Morcha. The incident occurred around 5.15 pm on Tuesday at Hamdard TV’s office in Shivalik Vihar, Naya Gaon, SAS Nagar, Mohali, where two Nihang men allegedly abducted Gurpiar Singh.
Based on inputs from Amar Singh Bhullar, the Canada-based owner and Chief Editor of Hamdard TV, the police swiftly initiated an investigation and are tracking leads through CCTV footage and eyewitness accounts.
