Zirakpur, February 18

Candidates of various parties held roadshows on the last day of campaigning in the Dera Bassi Assembly constituency. Congress candidate Deepinder Singh Dhillon addressed election rallies in Zirakpur, Handesra, Mubarikpur, Dera Bassi and Lalru.

In Lalru, Dhillon said the statement of Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi about UP natives was about Arvind Kejriwal himself becoming the Chief Minister of Punjab and not about any particular section. Channi, in fact, understands the plight of the poor and immigrants more than anyone else, he added.
